Gedankensport – this is the name of Alex Flatner ´s and DJ Stereo aka Noname ´s new founded imprint! In a time where music is changing so quickly, the world is getting smaller than ever before, in a time where quality is the most required value in the music industry it was Alex Flatner ´s ( Circle Music / Monoid ) and Stereo ´s intention to create a new platform, fulfilling the music lovers´ prospects. The name Gedankensport symbolises the goal of the imprint – its artists using their brain to create, experiment and research, widening the frontiers of sound. The first result of these endeavours is Vox Sola ´s “Mind Leap”. His intention has always been going into new directions and breaking conventions. One could hear this on his felicitous releases “Into the Void” ( Blaou Records ), his remix for Client ´s “Rock and Roll Machine” on Mute – one of the world´s most influential imprints, his “Vox Sola EP” and last but not least “Metro Pop” that made its way to James Holden´s “James Holden at the Controls” mix-compilation. So it seems more than traceable that Alex Flatner and Stereo selected Vox Sola to introduce Gedankensport !

After a quite reduced start, the warm and filthy bassline makes you go, whereas Vox Sola ´s minimal but effective sound fragments are making their way to your brain. When the impressive synthielines have reached your body, you can´t refuse: you feel agravic, you have to fly. Lift through the deep red sky and become one with the peaceful universe of sound!

A dry kicking bassdrum, floating vocals and freaked out synthies are the ingredients for this exciting remix treatment.

In einer Zeit, in der sich Musik so rasant ändert, die Welt kleiner als jemals zuvor wird – in einer Zeit, in der Qualität das am Meisten gefragte Gut in der Musikindustrie ist, war es Alex Flatners ( Cirlce Music / Monoid ) und Stereos Absicht, eine neue Plattform zu schaffen, um den Anforderungen der Musikliebhaber Genüge zu tun. Der Name Gedankensport symbolisiert das Ziel des Labels – seine Künstler nutzen ihre Gedanken, um zu kreieren, zu experimentieren und zu forschen, stets die Grenzen des Klangkosmos erweiternd. Das erste Ergebnis dieser Bemühungen ist Vox Solas „Mind Leap“. Seine Intention war es schon immer, neue Wege zu beschreiten und mit bestehenden Konventionen zu brechen.
